Es hat mich dann doch einige Nächte gekostet, mit diesem Board, einer Technisat TVStar 2 PCI Karte, einem Morex 3777 Gehäuse sowie Slimline DVD Brenner und 3,5" SATA-Festplatte einen HTPC unter Windows XP Home zu basteln. Die Sat-Karte passt nur nach Modifikation der Rückwand des Gehäuses: Der Rahmen muss entfernt werden, sonst sitzt sie zu weit vorne. Das Blech der Karte muss gerade gebogen werden und ein zusätzliches Loch zur Befestigung gebohrt werden. Unter Verwendung eines LCD-Fernsehers mit HDMI-Anschluss kann nicht installiert werden oder auf das BIOS-Setup zugriffen werden, da muss man einen DVI-Monitor nehmen. Normaler Betrieb ist dann aber schon möglich unter Auflösung 1280 x 720, allerdings nur mit Overscan (zumindest bei meinem Fernseher). Installation der neuesten Treiber von www.viaarena.com ist Pflicht! Aktivierung der Hardware-Beschleunigung des Boards ist nur mit dem PowerDVD Dekoder (6 oder 7 Ultra, 7 normal geht anscheinend nicht, ich verwende 6) möglich. Die CPU Last ist dann bei SDTV von Sat oder DVD bei 50 - 60 %. Andere Dekoder aktivieren nicht die Hardware-Beschleunigung, dann liegt die CPU-Last nahe 100% und das Bild ruckelt. Ansonsten, Service von Oliver Aigner ist extrem schnell und gut!
It's good this have audio output in RCA and video outputs in DVI, S-Video, RCA-Video and Composite. I think VGA will work too with adapter. It's bad there's only two channels of audio outputs. Two times it losed DVI output and I had to clear CMOS with jumper. That was annoying!
